in Lungau
The Lungau region lays nestled
in the high Tauern mountains (Hohen Tauern) approx. 80km.
South of Salzburg. Easy to find, perfect for a day or weekend escape, just
down the A10 from Munich. The beautiful scenery and friendly locals make this
a popular year round destination. A lot to offer winter sport fans, 5 ski resorts,
with over 250km of prepared pistes for every level.

Night
skiing at Katchberg
For those who still have energy. On the Königswiese run at Katchberg,
between 19.00 and 22.00. The slope is freshly prepared and floodlit top
to bottom. Free with a current skipass. No bookings necessary. |

Tobogganing
and night tobogganing.
An experience for the whole family. Every
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, in the holidays daily. The
specially prepared 1.5km floodlit track wind it's way through
the forest to the valley. Toboggan rental available at Gamskogel
hut. |

sleigh rides
A special experience for all. Tour
stops at the old and charming Gamskogel hut.

Ice skating
The ice skating rink in the centre of
Katchberg is especially kids- friendly, offering plenty
to keep them entertained. Skate rental is available in the
sport shop. The rink is floodlit at night.

Cross country
skiing- Katchberg high loop
Skate or slide a loop at 1640m to 1800m.
In total 16km of prepared cross country trails with challenging
climbs and downslopes. Glide through the winter landscape
with a view of the entire valley. |
